If DC was hacked (I doubt he did, TBH), then his password wasn't secure. Not the Scratch Team's fault.

Maybe this DC person is just a jerk. The site's security is just fine.

Just saying, I don't see an https protocol when logging in.
Does the Scratch team even have an SSL certificate?

I think the scratch team is kinda at their limit for security stuff, even if they do up the security a hacker could still get in, some guy managed to hack facebook and shut it down for several hours

HTTPS - HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure
SSL - Secure Sockets Layer

The Scratch Website is perfectly fine. You can't prevent hackers from trying to hack accounts, that's the problem. If Dream-Caster did get hacked (I'm not taking any sides here), maybe he had a password that was too easy to guess.

I don't think he got hacked, but like Jonathanpb, I don't want to take sides. But I saw that someone checked his SuperSherbet site, and saw that Dream-Caster made a thread about quitting.
However, if he did get hacked, maybe he got hacked on one site and used the same password on the other - that would have helped the hacker.

Attention! Everybody is getting the definition of 'hack' incorrect. Having your account hacked is different to someone finding out your password. If you hack something then you use special third party programs to get into a site. This is usually done to get into people's bank accounts and stuff, so you can steal money, not to get into a kids website.
Someone may have guessed his password, or maybe he did quit, but it's very unlikely that his account was hacked.

If you get cracked, it is your fault. You are the one that set the password. You are responsible for your account. If you don't want to be cracked, then use a good password. If you want more security for your account, change it every week or every month or every two weeks. It is your fault for what happens to your account.

1. The Security Is Perfectly Fine On The Scratch Website, It's Your Password.
2. Dream-Caster WASN'T Hacked! Why Does Everyone Think He Was?
3. There Is No 3!
4. Same As 3 Except We're Talking About 4 This Time.
5. ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG ARG
6. Sorry I Got A Little Carried Away With The Copy And Paste Tool Again...

Weak passwords are usually the problem...
