A big fat variable glitch

When a project with a variable or mnore inside is uploaded, the variable is SOMETIMES in the wrong place or look(slider etc...). I'd like them to fix it in the next version!

Re: A big fat variable glitch

The Java player for viewing projects online can mess up sometimes.

Also, when you save a project with a variable hiding, and then you exit and open the project again, you'll find that the variable moves back to the default area.

Re: A big fat variable glitch

You have to show them when you save/upload the project.

If you want to hide them when the project starts, hide them when the green flag is clicked.

It's a known bug...you must be using the Show/Hide variable blocks.  If you make sure that the variables are showing when you upload it, it should work okay.

I wish the Java Player was perfect! I hated when I posted a project, and everything gets out of it's right place. Well, the Java Player is decent anyway.

Re: A big fat variable glitch

Same here - I had a variable in large view and in the center of the screen and when I saved and closed it, it went back to normal view (or whatever it is called) and went back to the top-left corner of the screen. Also, when I uploaded the project (it is on another account I half-own and it is here: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/kids-ga … ats/749287), it added the word 'stage' to the beginning of the variable name (example: 'Level' changes to 'Stage Level' and 'Levels Unlocked' changes to 'Stage Levels Unlocked'). I hate it!

Show the variables when the project is being uploaded. Hide the variables when the green flag is clicked.
