08jackt, the things are taking up to much space.  hmm  How about a single bar on top with everything, and gadgets on the side, like one of my suggestions? I don't hate it, but it would be nice for more space.  smile

yeah, other wise the windows would be kinda cramped...hmmmmmmm....

I like the ideas, so then the only thing I worry about is the look. The bars shouldn't be too space-consuming, because it's rather ugly... I'd also prefer the bars to stretch from top to bottom, or otherwise be thin.

But that's just my opinion.  smile

That's what it is, isn't it? A single, slick bar stretching on the top.

Actually, in my projects now, I use all three. It looks nice and has a nice effect.  smile  The problem is that it might tire your eyes, having those flashes over and over...

Anyone like the idea, though?

It won't. And I just use the brightness effect to save time, with the same result.  tongue

I like using costumes for some reason. Anyway, with costumes you can have more flexibility, because you control the look .

Anyway... does anyone like the idea of having special looks for buttons when they're not selected, selected, and possibly clicked?  hmm

yep, i think we should do that  smile

So, what graphics design should we choose?

hmm...

maybe we all do small alpha tests of each design. then maybe we could choose which one looks, and feels the best....

Re: Collab SOS{5}

I'm confused...

Right, let's make this clear:

For highlighting icons, what do we do?

• They change costume when moused over.
• Same as above, but with an additional costume when clicked.
• Brightness effect rather than costumes.
• Nothing (no!).

If we're using costumes, I recommend negative colors for contrast.  smile

BRIGHTNESS!

It takes less to make and looks almost as cool.

Brightness
-mouse over: Brightness increase
-mouse down: Brightness decrease (makes it look dark and 'clicked')

It's good to see that it's definite that we're using the brightness effect for highlighting...

Another question: Will we use premade icons, or do we make our own? Because I like making them.  smile

Is there anything that the Graphics Team could work on?
