I just saw someones stuff and they're were comments saying stuff like, "you shouldn't copy other peoples game." And they were all flagged. I thought there was nothing wrong with remixing.
There isn't. Flag the comments, or use the 'contact us' button on the bottom.

Remixes are encouraged in Scratch, and there's nothing wrong with remixes at all. People often just think that people are copying/stealing their work, which is different.

And even when people are 'stealing' your work - which they actually never do since it's all perfectly legal - but say, they re-upload without changing enything except your name on the first screen, just place a comment on the project saying "Thanks for advertising " Everyone who vistis the 'copied' >project knows it's your project, and everyone wants too see the original comments etc. Advertisement
Be happy with it.
And for artwork, draw your name over the image so it cant be properly removed

I dislike it when people don't even change the title or comments, as I believe that is stealing. Not that I owned the project to begin with, but the fact that they didn't even bother to remove the 1 in the title from a remix show's a lack of effort on their part.
I do, however, encourage people to do creative things, such as change characters around or somthing. Add enemys, whatever. Stuff like that I like. Its just the mindless coping that frustrates me.

This is what I think as well, if they're going to copy my game they should at least bother to edit it

There has been a shift in policy fairly recently...while remixing projects is still strongly encouraged, copying without making any substantial changes can be considered disrespectful. Here's the policy in it's entirety...

Why does Scratch support and encourage remixing?
Modifying and extending other people's projects is a great way to learn more about Scratch -- and to develop more sophisticated projects than you could on your own.
What if someone copies a project without changing anything?
It is disrespectful to upload a project that was created entirely by someone else, with the intention of taking credit or causing confusion about who created the project. If you see such a project, please flag it as inappropriate and include a link to the original project with your explanation.
