Need help making enemies (without a bunch of sprites)

I am restarting my old project "Little Warriors : Otakeshi's Story" and I need help making little enemies that appear in certain places randomly. It's an RPG with the RPG style fighting, so this is going to be hard  hmm

I have 25% finished, and I constantly swerve away from this project and take a break to edit my animations.'

So, can someone help me with the enemies? The scrolling is multidirectional, and there are 5 different types of enemies (with one boss)
