Re: How do you celebrate in December? (Christmas, Hunukkah, ect.)

for me, this is what happens:

6 am wake up my parents. my dad grabs his cam corder, and i make myself hot chocolate and my mom makes herself coffee. we pray to God, thanking Him for jesus.

6.15am we open presents, and use them, of course listening to christmas music on b101.

7ish we go to my aunts house and eat breakfast. then the kids play.

8 am we are called to open presents. then we stay and talk until we want to leave.

any christians here?

Re: How do you celebrate in December? (Christmas, Hunukkah, ect.)

My parents are kind of Christian. They don't go to church too often and we don't pray or stuff like that, its mostly to keep the grandparents happy  wink

This is how xmas goes in my house

@ 12:00 midnight the moment its xmas day we open our presents.

Then we go to bed and sleep. When we wake up we try out our new stuff or visit family.

Re: How do you celebrate in December? (Christmas, Hunukkah, ect.)

I'm an atheist, but I do celebrate Christmas, although only as an opportunity to talk to my distantier family and to eat like (word probably not allowed). Oh, and the Christmas tree is cool. Did you know the Christmas tree is actually German idea?
And there is a slight difference b'tween Polish and English Christmas dinners - In Poland we follow the no-meat tradition and eat fish (traditionally, it's carp). In the UK, it's turkey. Dunno why.

Christmas, but not as a religious holiday (what with being an atheist). It's a time to be with family and enjoy the atmosphere for me. And, being still just-about, technically a child, Christmas morning is the most exciting time of the year.

Re: How do you celebrate in December? (Christmas, Hunukkah, ect.)

I celebrate the Christian holiday of Christmas. (Christ - Mas)  smile

We wake up, sit and wait for my dad to get up (he loves his sleep...)

When he has finally had his precious cup of coffee, we open gifts.

At (usually 10:30) we go to church.

Um... it been almost a year so I can't remember much else!  lol

Lol yeah same here- but my dad doesn't usually record. Maybe for a short amount of time if he feels like it... but rather he always brings a couple trashbags to put all of the wrapping and platic in lolz.
