Well, you can't just make opinions based on timespan. For opinions, be open. You can't just take average '09er and stick a "dumb, loud and noobish" note to him. What if he makes projects better than YOU? Actually, I'm a '08er, but I don't make games. No. I'm not an average '08er. In fact, I'm horrible at these scrollers. I made only one game worth seeing - Trapped (and I haven't finished it). So what? I made other cool projects. SentenceSynthesiser, for example.
Some '09ers really are... odd, but it's not a reason to blame them all. Let's hope '10ers will balance it all.

I agree with you that they may make better projects than their criticizers, but as for projects, it doesn't have to be a game. Some people make great games, some make great puzzles, some make great art, some make great animations, etc. - but maybe they don't show what they can.

Knowing some people they'll probably pin that stereotype on the 0'10ers when the time comes.

ugh... I fear the '10ers. Not really, I fear the people who are gonna complain about the '10ers just as they are doing for the '09ers.
