innaprpriate projects and comments.

Do you think it is allowable to have these projects telling you to do somthing you know is not wright? Or having projects that realy should not be veiwed by young kids? Just earliyer i saw a projet that people were saying the music was way innapropriate for young children. I  looked at it and agreed. I had to even  report the project. It was on the top loved list. I think it should be removed from the website, as many others should. So please try to stop this. Imagine a small child, wittnesing one of these horid projects. It would scar them for life.  Please do everything you can to prevent these bad projects.

Re: innaprpriate projects and comments.

i agree if its really bad however projects that clearly warn the viewer of any violence and are not too bad shouldnt have to be removed.  songs with explicit lyrics are bad though, why not edit the song in audacity or something.

Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Yeah, changing it in audacity would work. However, not everyone has Audacity.

Re: innaprpriate projects and comments.

This is what I say.

Since Scratch is for people of all ages, we have to keep that in mind. Therefore, people should be careful of what they upload.
There are different types of projects out there, but I'll just cover three main types.
Let's say that there's a shooter game with lots of blood and gore. This is obviously not what you would want young children to see, but at the same time it isn't that innapropiate. It's just blood and gore, and most people are okay with it. It isn't really offending people... after all, it's just blood, not other innapropiate stuff that is offending. Anyway, the project is all right.
Now see superzac's post above me. Those projects are obviously innapropiate. It may not have blood and gore, but it is offending and plainly innapropiate. Those projects should be reported and deleted.
Now, let's say that there's a harmless project, but with horrible music full of swearing and innapropiate talk. Even though there's no picture of rude stuff, the music is the equivalent of those pictures. Therefore, the project should be reported and deleted.

Use your common sense here. It's far better than following guidelines.

Does a song with only one swear word count as innapropiate?

This is an important issue. I dont think it matters if its 2 months old, Jonathan.
Also, you did too.

We use our common sense here... if it's a mild swear word, you might get away with it (I hope not), but for strong swear words, even just one is quite bad.

Things may have some important value, but we should still follow the etiquette.
