personally, I think you can at least make some of your games for your own eyes. I'm planning to make a RPG but what if someone downloads my game and looks at all the passwords? there should be a optain so that youcan make some of you games for your own eyes and maybe other editors. It would really help.

He wants to keep certain scripts private, so only some people can see it.
Sorry, but I don't think this will be implemented, you should just make it fully viewable, make it so anyone can play, no passwords. Otherwise, if this will be multiplayer, have the "server" have all the passwords, and only you have the server. Otherwise, you could put it in an executable. http://www.chirp.scratchr.org/

Yeah, thats a really good idea! There's been a couple times that I needed this. It could even be like when you're making a gallery, like this:
"Who do you want to be allowed to download?"
[ ] only me
[ ] my friends
[ ] everyone

For downloading restrictions, read this: Suggestions that have been resolved already
Check chapter two.

This is an interesting idea. There are many suggestions about locking downloads, but I bet this would be better. Of course with broadcasting it could become complicated hehe. It depends.

Then there should be a new "script locking" function. It would be a little more complicated though:
"Who do you want to be allowed to look at the locked scripts?"

There's a sticky called Suggestions that have been resolved already, which people should read before they suggest anything.

2. Locking downloads
There isn't a sticky on this, but it was going to get here anyway.
This has been proposed several times (I only remember three or so instances of it, and there could have been more). It was cleared up each time...Magnie wrote:
Scratch is open source this has been suggested multiple times, read the license (even though I havn't read it I already know the rules.) It will NEVER happen.

But wouldn't the option to refuse download be against Scratch's motto to imagine, program, and share?
So it's been mentioned already. If locks appeared, the Share part of Scratch would be left behind. Cheddargirl stated what she would do:

Honestly, if I didn't want other people taking the art and music form my projects, I would post my projects on my own personal site and set my own Creative Commons/copyright license or not upload my project to the Scratch website at all.
So you can go with that if you like.
And again, it's not going to happen.
I think Andrés posted something about that stuff, but I don't know where that post is. Anyway, there you go.

That's practically the same as locking downloads, except that you can let some things be viewed. It still goes against the remixing idea.

Hiding anything from Scratch is against the rules.
