I'd say them grouping is much wider than that! Maybe 6-14 or more.
Yeah but I heard of a child on Newsround that he was creating his OWN video game.
That's why I still think Scratch is for ages 6 to 10. In fact I'm still trying to figure out how to use Blender . A lot of teenagers use different programming languages with more advanced things you know.

I'm 16, and I'm still happily scratching. Although once I graduate from Highschool next year I'm probably going to focus more on college, and leave Scratch behind.

I'm 15, and I know a few Scratchers that are 14-19.

isn't archmage... like 18-19?

whats bad about being 17? did you think you were the oldest person on scratch?

I'm 14 xD
I don't really think Scratch has an age limit to be honest
But obviously a 2 month year old isn't going to be sat down using Scratch and a 90 year old most likely wouldn't be using Scratch that much too.

There shouldnt be an age limit as long as the projects are appropriate. I'm only 10 and I hate when pplz cuss and all that so you really shouldn't do it on Scratch. If you want to do that do it on You Tube! I can't go on there without my older sibs anyway. Besides, when you get to be 19 or 20 you probably won't have time for Scratch.

I'd say that scratch is meant for kids 8-15, however I have seen elders using our beloved website. In my own words (with no information in consideration) scratch would be for those 8+.

I belive you have to be 8 or older to join scratch.

there is no age limit, but you probably wouldn't see a 2 year old on here.

Well I'm 40+ and happily using Scratch with my two sons (6 and 10). I don't stand a hope of teaching them any other type of programming and this is teaching me a lot as well. Am hoping to get the boys school to start using it!
As a matter of interest what would people recommend moving onto after Scratch?

Liberty BASIC is a good choice, or you could use the free Just BASIC.
Other than that there's Python which I highly recommend!
