It would be really awesome if you could use Scratch to program Lego Mindstorms NXT robots! It could work kind of like how it works with Lego We-Do...

That would be cool!

I can't afford one either, but I'm saving up right now...

I really think that it would be cool to have a game that would control a robot. I heard about that R.O.B thing. (What he did before Brawl) THere was this game that controlled a robot. I hope that it will be possible on Scratch.

Well Scratch already has a WeDo thing, and Mindstorms would be pretty hard to do because you'd have to add LOTS of blocks for it.
I made a list... hopefully they won't be too hard to make.
Sound Sensor:
<sound resembles: {Hello} ?>
(loudness)
<loud? >
[record]
[stop recording]
[play recording]
Color Sensor:
(light sensor value)
<color is {red} ?>
<color resembles [ ] ?>
[turn lamp on]
[turn lamp off]
Ultrasonic Sensor:
(distance from object)
<detecting motion?>
<object appears to be {hard}?>
<object appears to be {soft}?>
<object appears to be {flexible}?>
<object appears to be {pattern}?>
<object appears to be {etc.}?>
Compass Sensor:
(direction)
Accelerometer Sensor:
(Accelleration)
(G-force)
Touch Sensor:
<touching?>
Servo Moters: (same as the We-Do blocks)
Infrared Link Sensor: (use broadcast/recieve blocks)
***
A lot of these blocks could also be useful to future versions of Scratch!
Note: I don't own Mindstorms yet, so I don't know if all of these blocks work.

Can't you just use the NXT programming language? I've read it's drag n' drop as well, so learning it should be as easy as learning Scratch.

I know... but learning Scratch was hard. That's why I would like it if it were made for Scratch so that I wouldn't have to learn anither programming language.

My friend has a NXT and it's really easy to get used to it. It's pretty much exactly like scratch.

I've looked at NXT scripts sometimes, they look really simple. You just have to know which motor/sensor does what on your robot, and the function of every block.

Well, I guess there's no need for this then. It would still be kind of cool if it had it though...

i have a lego mindstorms robot. i wish scratch would work with it.

If you are freakishly smart with any other programming language in the world, I'm sure you could make that possible with Scratches network system.

Uhh... Enchanting? I think this is what you're looking for.
