---new Idea For Front Page!---
PLEASE READ: (worth it!! 
)
At the moment, there are 3 projects on each section of the front page. A good project that deserves to be on the front page would get maybe 5-10 views in the week after it's released from friends and initial front page "new projects" section. It could be the best game ever made and gets, say, 10 views and 9 love its. This would not be enough to get on the front page, but all it needs to get there is a few more views and it would make it to "what the community is loving". A solution to this is demonstrated below in the "top remixed" section on the front page. (should be repeated in most other sections):
The above, photoshopped view of the front page has 3 more projects shown under the original 3. There could also be another row underneath that one to leave 9 projects in each section. (depending on how many love-its the 9th most loved game has - could be just 2 or 3, hopefully it's more then 6 or 7)
The pretend game I was talking about before, that sort of good game would get front page coverage with 9 love its (probably) and people would see it more and love it even more and if it's good enough, will work it's way to the top, 'prime' spots on the front page.

PROS:
- Especially good in the top-loved section of the front page. It would lead to more views for a project that has several love-its and the community would decide whether to 'promote' this game to the top 3 loved projects by 'loving' it.
- Linked to the above point, it would 'filter' out the esepcially good games and leave the front page of a higher quality of games. (i have seen people complain about the lack in quality of the games on the front page and that there used to be better games on there)
- Give more people and projects front page coverage.
CONS:
- A longer front page.

Can you think of any more pros/cons? Let me know and i'll add them above.
I am looking forard to what the community thinks about this and hopefully I can get a mod's response to this.

Hey, there is a section called "What the community is loving now, but I think it was just replaced with "Top loved lately".

what? ity used to be 'Top Loved Lately' but now it's 'What the community is loving'.
any else support the idea?

I think we should, as the community, pick one are selves, I'm thinking of making a "Choosen By Community" gallery, which, we all get to "vote" for the project submitted, and if it gets enough "votes" then I'll add it to the gallery. I have no idea what to name the gallery, if you have a better idea, just tell me.

Magnie: thiswould be very hard to do and maintain, and i think the "projects chosen by ______" is a good section, similiar to what you mentioned.
I think scratch neeeeeeds this new layout, there are so many pro's with this!!
More projects will be viewed. More people will feel proud of their games. More people will stay on scratch.
Better projects on the front page.
Right now a project needs 82 love it's to get on the top loved section, how is a project possibly going to do that without being on the front page in the first place? Hence, we need more projects on there!!
