Without art...
-Symbals would be hard to understand
-Your favourite website won't have avatars
-How would young children learn to read picture books?
-How the Scratch Cat be like?
-There won't be any cartoons
-There won't be any anime
-I would lose my best talent
-There wouldn't be any blueprints for construction workers
-There would be fewer memes
-There wouldn't be video games
Here's a little story you should think about! With regards to stolen work:
An amazing artist on scratch is working on a picture for there new Character. They wanted to show the picture as a preview, so they could then put in later in a long animation. A little game making, programmer comes along and steals the art. They put it in their game, and claim it as their own character for the game. The artist sees that the project got top loved, and the comments were much like "Awesome game! I never seen such a unique character, or art in a game before!" The artist tells the programmer this "Can you please give me credit for the character design, drawing, and stuff? I don't think it's fair." The programmer replies "Who cares? It's just some dumb art! It doesn't belong on Scratch anyway. Scratch is for games! Stick to art sites!" The artist gets upset, because she doesn't have the money to buy flash, so she could make animations to share on DeviantArt. She gets angry hearing that art is dumb, and she wasn't the kind to make games. She then reports the user with these reasons "This user is being rude to me, saying that art is dumb. They stole my art I was going to use for an animation, without even telling me. I asked nicely for them to give credit, and that's when they insulted me, and my art interest'
OK, I know that probably won't happen, but it might! Yes, it does sound biased because it's from an artist...

When we complain about art, we're using art as a different way, not general. By art, we're talking about projects on the scratch website that have something drawn with a paint program, the scratch one, or another one which may or may not involve animations, that involve no sort of calculating, or productivity, other than showing of something off. Thats what we mean.

That is a very inspiring story! That programmer sure has some good points!

Well, neither of those I really care about...
Ok I'm being a bit harsh there, but focus on the top part. About what I'm talking about as 'art'. The ungeneral type.
