Some people were confused about curators and curating... So here is some answers to questions they might have!
What is a curator?
A curator is a scratch member who gets to pick projects that he likes, and the end up on the front page! The curator gets to feature projects for about two weeks!
How does it work?
The curator's most recent favorites, will appear on the curator category on the front page! If the curator favorites a project, It will automatically end up on the home page! So make sure you only favorite appropriate projects! The curator channel will not display any projects belonging to the current curator, even if they are in the current curator's favorites (in other words, as a curator, you won't be able to put your own projects on the curator channel on the front page).
How does the curator get picked?
The curator is a member of the scratch community, who has done a lot of good things and has been active in scratch. The curator has to be trusted, and since there are so many people applying to be curator he may have to be patient. If you are picked as a curator, the scratch team will send you a private message informing you that you have been chosen!
Where can you sign up to be curator?
Sign up here. When you are posting in this thread, tell WHY you would be a good curator. Tell what kind of projects you would pick!
What are the rules of being a curator?
1) You have to be active
2) You have to pick appropriate projects (Not violent, gross, or suitable for kids)
3) Pick at least 2 projects a week.

Thanks to Cheddargirl for telling me the things I left out!
Hope people are not confused anymore!

I knew them all too... but some people don't.
pinochio, you don't need to be so impatient. Don't repeatedly post; just wait! Though you're excused if you wait a few days before posting that - but you didn't.

It's nice post, I feel that it answers a lot of questions that many Scratchers have about the curator position.
I think there are a couple of more things you could mention:
1. The curator channel will not display any projects belonging to the current curator, even if they are in the current curator's favorites (in other words, as a curator, you won't be able to put your own projects on the curator channel on the front page).
2. The curator position lasts for about two weeks.
3. The Scratch Team send private notifications to Scratchers when they are selected for the curator position.

That's my biggest problem! I am really impatient! Sorry
Cheddargirl: I added your suggestions!
