Failed: broken connection during upload

[angry obscenity removed by Forum Moderator]?  My connection is fine, and to prove it my internet worked while it was uploading.  Also, it happens over and over again.  I even tried restarting my computer, and when that didn't work, I rebooted our wireless connection.  Please help...

Re: Failed: broken connection during upload

This is a new one o.o
Usually it's unknown reason...

I can only guess this could be Scratch Server problems or there's some sort of firewall blocking the connection.

Have you tried uploading a different project?

Reinstalling Scratch is the best option to do now.

Can you try this?

Retired from Scratch, but just the language itself. Not the forums.

You should be careful about saying things like that. This is supposed to be a kids website. You could get reported, and banned if you do it multiple times.

And as to your problem, try checking whether the internet is connected. If you are using a wired connection, see if anything is unplugged.

Then check whether a firewall is blocking your scratch project from getting through.

If that doesn't work, then I'm sorry.

Re: Failed: broken connection during upload

Like WeirdF said. Are you having wireless?? Try switching to wired or right click on wireless icon and click 'Repair.

Please keep the language appropriate for an all-ages audience - thanks.

I'm sorry you are having problems with the upload.  Let's try to narrow it down so we can figure out which component is failing.  The suggestions above are all good ones to try - in addition it would be good to know:

1.  Does it happen with all projects you try and upload?
2.  Does it happen with all computers you have access too?
3.  Does it happen when you try an upload from a different network (the library, a friends house, etc)?
4. Are you using a proxy server in your network configuration?

It also might be helpful to know what operating system you are working with.

Re: Failed: broken connection during upload

Since I didn't seem very smart when I first posted in this I'll explain what seems to have happened.

So basically when you started uploading your project, something broke the connection in the middle, this could be the cause of the Scratch Servers not responding or something happened on your side of the connection.

Since larger projects take longer to upload, it is probably more likely for this to happen.

A proxy probably can also break the connection since it is in the center of your computer and the server.

If you try multiple times, you might get it uploaded. But I am unsure of what is causing this problem.
