Scratch ONLINE!

An online version of scratch would be an excellent feature to add. This would enable a vast variety of games to be released, and I'm sure that I'm not the only one who desires this. If this were to come about, a simple way to make this programming would be to divide variables in to offline variables, which apply only to the user, and online variables which are the same for all people playing that game. Post here if you support this idea.

Re: Scratch ONLINE!

Look at this forum post and reply with your ideas. There used to be something called NetScratch, but it was deleted before you even joined. So just brainstorm web data in the link above.

Re: Scratch ONLINE!

It'd be cool, but very unlikely. And it probably won't be that easy...

Re: Scratch ONLINE!

Look at this too, it lets you connect 2 Scratch projects, but IIRC, it doesn't let you connect with anyone in the Internet: http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=15445

Re: Scratch ONLINE!

you should use mostly online variables and list, they would need to be updated to your computer for optimum speed

That's exactly what Snyff (the thing I linked to) does. And it shares some broadcasts too.

Not sure, I've never tried it. But I think you can only share them on a Local network (ex: with another computer on your home), but then again, I've never tried it.

Re: Scratch ONLINE!

Cloud Scratch! Sounds like a great idea. That means making Online Multiplayer games will be easier (On a Cloud Version of Scratch) since it is already online.

I wish you could have WAN variables not just LAN.

I got it too. Lol. It is pretty interesting because it still works. I can connect to my userpage and see what my projects are.
