Is it a virus?

Whenever I try to view projects on my Windows 2000 computer (I'm using Vista now, bleh), it will not even show. It's a blank page with the Scratch logo and the navigation bar. If I restart my computer, it works, but if I close out and open again everything dissappears again. Help, PLEASE!!!

Re: Is it a virus?

This should be reported to the creators of Vista.  tongue  A new bug for them to handle. xD

Re: Is it a virus?

Do yourself a favor and DON'T USE VISTA. Go get Ubuntu or something good.

But otherwise I have no solutions.....

Go get WINDOWS 7! It's more awsome than Vista! But seriously, I hope that helps.

Retired from Scratch, but just the language itself. Not the forums.

Guys, we're a bit off-topic. Try reloading the page or use a different browser, like Chrome, Firefox, etc.

What browser are you using?  It might be a problem with that.  It sounds like the browser is having an issue with Java.  You might try using Firefox...it works very well on my Vista laptop.

Re: Is it a virus?

2000 is quite old and most programs don't even support it anymore. Upgrade from Vista to XP (lol) or windows 7 xD

Are you kidding?  Get a freakin Mac and that * won't happen at all anymore.  I guarantee you Windows 7 doesn't have any of the problems that Vista had.  I also guarantee you it has an all new set of bugs, glitches, and general * things.

Re: Is it a virus?

Weird. One of my computers that I use to play with (Has 4GB of Ram) has Windows 2000 Pro as one of the boot-up options. Scratch works fine on it... Actually, sometimes better than my Windows XP and Windows 7 Partition. It's not a virus. May be the compatibility to view newer websites.

Re: Is it a virus?

I Have Vista And Run Scratch On 2 Computers.. Both Of Them Run It Fine With No Problem. Maybe It's Becuase Your Loading It On A Version Of Windows That Isnt Supported? (I.E Windows 2000 / ME , After it Installs ONE Update It's Unlikely To Work. Go Get Yourself Vista / Windows 7) =P

Re: Is it a virus?

Post number 15 of this topic says that the problem was fixed quite a while ago.  It's a good idea to check the date of the last post on a topic to see if it is likely that the information is still needed.
