How can you make an animated avatar?

I've never tried... but I'll guess. Try using a file with an animation for your avatar.

you need to create a code that switches from costume to costume (each costume being one frame in the animation.) Its a little arduous, I know, but its the only way so far. Im hoping the nest version of scratch will have animation support of some kind.

This isn't animation on Scratch... we're talking about avatars (you know, that picture you see on your profile page).
