HE HAS A NEW FILE, and this could just be like an ask an expert forum now.
hong, once you are done with editing one script in scratch source, press ALT + S
to save, and then, open a change sorter, and click on the change set you want to use, and right click on it, and choose "make changes go to me"
then, if you want it to save in user mode, open a workspace, and type in:
ScratchFrameMorph new openInWorld; saveImageForEndUser
but before you execute this code, make sure your done everything, and have X'ed out all the windows but the workspace, now select the above code and press ALT + D and there you go.

Thx cds, however, it's not work....
The following is what i've done according to your suggestion.
eg. i have changed the content and location of "sound" button by clicking the middle button of the mouse,
after finished changeing I press ALT+S to save my project in .sb file.
and right click, press "change", press "simple change sorter".
there are "working" and "root" in the windows, i right click on "working" and press "make changes go to me". then close the window and also scratch.
open a workplace and paste the code you given and press ALT+D
then a new scratch is opened and a question shown "Close non-Scratch windows and save the image in end-user (fillscreen) mode? (Yes/No)
(i think there is a problem...is it asking me do i want to save the new scratch?? NO!!!)
and the second question is .."Changes have not been saved, Is it OK to cancel those changes?"
and i need to answer Yes to continue....
Any problem here so i cannot save my changes?
please help me ....thank you so much!!!

It's going to be hard explaining my problem, but I will give it a shot:
I'm working on a solitaire program which is going well up until now. I was able to make a script that shuffles the deck, and started working on the program to deal the shuffled deck. I made the program for the first 'stack' as i call them (the first stack is the single card bellow the deck in a game of solitaire) which worked up until when I have the sprite for the stack switch to the right costume as the card that should go there.
I have a notation system for the cards in a deck: the first letter states the suit: c for clubs, h for hearts, d for diamonds, and s for spades. after the suit comes the 'number'; 1-10 or j for jack, q for queen, and k for king.
I don't know if there is a way to translate an item on a list to a costume for the sprite.
<switch to costume[ <{ h10 }>
Instead of the variable command I have the 'item 1 of _____' command for lists. the first item for the stack's list is h10, which is also the title of the costume of the card it has to switch to.
In the drop-down menu for the 'switch to costume _____' command the costumes are listed as the notation i used. (h10 is an option to select manually)
Is there a way to translate an item in a list to a costume for a sprite?
I hope i explained this well enough.

oh, so you dont want to save the scratch?
I would have thought that you would have copied the scratch.image file and edited it so you could save it.
and just edit it later by hacking into the source code later.
Ugh, I'm confused

Actually i want to save my scratch but not save the "new" scratch.
because the question box is shown after a new scratch opened.
anyway, i still cannot find a method to save my change, although i have "accept", "make change go to me",

No one in specific, I just didn't want to put an unnecessary thread on the forums.
I would say... no thread related to working out programing problems is unnessesary.

Hey heybrian,
I am making a sidescrolling game using the <set x to(((ScrollX<+>480))) format, and I am almost done, I just need to make a boss. My question is, how do you make the game stop sidescrolling so you can make a boss level? Thanks.

absolute value- it's a number alway positive. The absolute value of 5 is 5. The absolute value of -8 is 8.

I imported pictures of students to use as sprites and am having difficulty aligning text/speech with the sprite's head. I've tried moving the center of the object and moving the sprite altogether in the frame. Neither has worked well.
Let me know if you have any suggestions?

This has been bothering me for a while. I mostly make Bleach based figting games and I was wondering how to make the sprite being attacked at the time flinch... while the sprite in question is in the middle of a script. Plese dont answer with putting if-elses everywhere. Also please include something in the script that discontinues the activity the attacked sprite is pecrforming. My action scripts (for the attacked sprite) usually resemble something like this.
When Right arrow pressed:
_________________________
|if(action=0) then
|[set action to 1]
|[switch to costume 1]
|[wait (.05) secs]
|[switch to costume 2]
|[wait (.05) secs]
|[set action to 0]
_________________________
Except my scripts have more costume changes
Please help, thank you
