I was born in the US, live in New York City (which I believe is the greatest city in the world!
) but my parents are from the Philippines, so I'll talk a little bit about the Philippines:
Capital: Manila
Language: Mainly Tagalog and English.
Main Religion: Catholicism (about 85%). However, on the main island of Mindanao, Islam is also a significant religion.
Population: About 84 million
Climate: The Philippines has a humid, tropical climate. In a sense, there are only two seasons in the Philippines: the rainy season and the dry season. And overall... it's really, really hot.
School system: Similar to the US school system. School year starts in June and ends in March.
Form of government: Republic (if you can actually call it that. Corruption seems to play a role in government and politics).
Signature Dish: Depends on the region. Personally, I like lechon.
Currency: [Philippine] Peso.
Fun Fact: According to National Geographic, the Philippines are composed of 7104 islands. But in reality, no one knows exactly how many islands there are because some of them sink under the water during high tide!

Sometimes the capitals are the less-populated places to avoid traffic problems and such.

This seems fun!
-New Zealand-
• A land of sheep, with some people roaming around. The sheep use them as shearing machines.
• Lots and lots of grassland. The sheep have their own little enclosures, and the humans work for them. Lots of grazing space too.
• The climate's rather boring. Normal, normal, normal. Tawa (an area) is rainy 23/25 the time of the year, but now I'm in Porirua.
• The capital is Wellington. There have been debates on whether the capital should be Auckland, but certain situations make it easier as it is.
• The usual activites are surfboarding (in the ice-cold water), getting fish and chips with your buddies, and all those other odd activites.
• I'm not from New Zealand, so I enjoy making fun of the locals! But they're nice. *evil snicker*
Okay, how was that? Don't panic about the facts, because it's a wonderful place to live.

Switzerland is not located "Up there"
Switzerland is right next to France
Switzerland is even located more south than United Kingdom and Germany...

Your countries (Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, etc.) sound like wonderful places to live in! They're among the happiest, too... and I think maybe Denmark as well...?
New Zealand's been involved in wars from this century, sadly. Argh!
