This is the preview thread for LINE², and will showcase many screenshots of the game as it is developed. At the moment, I plan for LINE² to have 10 levels all 15 costumes long. That's 3x longer than the first game. Playtime will be about 1 hour at most. The engine has been tested thoroughly and has NO glitches whatsoever. Woo! The game will also have a menu, sounds and music for every level. You can help make music for line Here.
Footage:
The world map. This shows before every level to show where you are. The levels are (in order) "Interlaced Guy's Hometown", "Curve Hills", "The Mountains", "Linewood Swamp", "Linewood Forest", "Linewood Gorge", "Mt. Eskimo", "Missile Silo", "Destroyed Town", "The Volcano".
Current Progess:
Making Level 1 Music, Designing Level 1.
Please give me ideas, comments and opinions.

what is the game actually about?
Story pending. It's going to be something along the lines (haha bad pun) of your hometown being destroyed by LAVA and you having to go to some evil lair in a volcano to kill the person that caused it. Stereotypical, no?

WOW I just saw the first Line game and it is amazing - very hard and very well made.
Thanks! The 2nd version will be even better - it's easier to develop levels for it.

Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Very hard, I'm sure the full version will keep me occupied for a while...

You should make a save system so if you quit and come back, you just type something in and your back!
Just use level select for that. I don't want people storing codes all over their house lol

hey im not sure if you want to do it like this but you could make like mini bosses? or have the evil dude at level 5 that you (think!) you kill and then as you get to level 10 you find out he had never died. and now he's stronger and it's the final battle for revenge. just something like that as far as the story go's. and just thinking ahead if you made a line 3 it could be about rebuilding your town and your life. but that's another story (that i could think up a story for pretty quickly)(if you want me to help with the story or something like cut scenes i'd be happy to help)

Lol. I don't think people really do that though. I know my dad has index cards with passwords for *nearly* (emphasize nearly) every website. So he's pretty organized.

Because of they way this is coded I can't do moving bosses - but I can always do the Static Boss from the last level of line. :p

Amazing game!the interlaced style is intresting and unique, and the one-script design makes it extremely efficient. The complete menu is also a nice touch.Just one question-is there a secret to making the interlaced art,or is it just long and boring work?
Offline
I think theres just a background thingy that overlaps everything in the game.

I love the old one, and I can't wait for the new one

The interlacing was originally long and boring - but recently I've been using an overlay.
Anyway - I can get back to coding the game now that my scratch is fixed.
While you wait - you can go play the original which you can access from my signuature.

What do you mean by an overlay?(I suppose it's a costume of interlaced lines that stamps over everything visible, but I need to be sure)
