Your Scratch project as a screen saver

http://what-thess.webs.com/
===============================================================================
I've been working on a screen saver called What-The ss (ss stands for screen saver) which allows you to.

A) Connect to the Scratch site and run a scratch project
B) Set an image as your background (because it is a background it goes behind the scratch project. So you wont be able to see all of it if it's too big, so smaller images are better)

This means you can have your project as your screen saver which I know that alot of Scratchers would love.

Here are some screen shots:

obviously you won't be able to play games

Here is a screen shot of editing the settings of the screen saver

Spelling errors will be fixed  smile
And tell me if this layout seems simple

I have uploaded the file to my website.

Remember this is the first version, so if you come across any glitches please post them here.

here is the link to the site. Click on the downloads section to download the file. the file is called whatthe ss. http://what-thess.webs.com/

When you have downloaded it; unzip the file and read the ReadMe!!! file

So far the program save it's data to
C:\Program Files\whatthess
so you need to have a C drive with the Program Files folder (most computers do)
whatthess is the download file

I think the home page is good to use as it shows the number of projects and the featured projects as well. But you can set it to your projects just remember the larger the project the longer it will take to show.

just make sure you install it right.

Please post your thoughts on this

Re: Your Scratch project as a screen saver

That is really facinating what-the. I will definetly download it!
Hold on, this would count as a screen saver or desktop background? Either way, would links on the website work? Maybe not for the screen saver, but if it's a desktop background then would the links work?

Re: Your Scratch project as a screen saver

New thing for the website. There's a section where you can get your games reviewed and if it's good (65 or higher out of 100 rating) it will be put in the recomended to play scratch projects section of the site. I will only review a couple a month so get in early.

When you visit the site click on the review blog section for the lastest reviews.

waiting list for November reviews
1.
2.
3.
4.

If you want to get a review reply to this thread. Remember to cheack out the What-The ss download so you can get your scratch projects on a screensaver.
the waiting list is a maximum of 4 a month.(maximum of 1 review a week)

Re: Your Scratch project as a screen saver

Sorry I don't have or know a good windows to mac convertor and the program I used to make it isn't avaliable on mac's. If you know how to convert it and then upload the mac version i'll put it on my site but you will have to change the code as macs have a different save system.
