What am I trying to clear up?
It will NOT happen. Sorry.

I think it would make more sense to make it for DS. It has lots of things on it that would be perfect for it. The touch screen could be the script area, and the top screen could be where the game actually happens. It also has a microphone for projects that use a microphone, and on the DSi, there is a camera, which could be used like a webcam for the "camra" button in the costumes part.
But still, it isn't going to happen.

It isn't going to happen, but many users have started getting into presenting Scratch animations on other systems. No word on if anyone has made anything, so don't get your hopes up.

Okay, I know that you'll be distraught at hearing the answer for the third time: It won't happen.
Now Scratch Team, close this.

That would be hard, you would have to program a program engine.

Stop it! This has been brought up over and over... and haven't you seen this? It says why Scratch won't be made for these devices. Read it now. I can't stand these topics... read the information and think!
I apologize for the outrage. I'm just upset.

Just curious - are you looking to be able to simply [ul]run[/ul] Scratch projects or do you also want to be able to [ul]edit and create[ul/] Scratch projects?
Not that I can help you do either at this point in time...but I am curious just what it is you hope to be able to do on your iPod touch

Please, Jonathanpb - relax a bit...it isn't healthy to get all worked up like that
People are naturally excited by these handy portable devices and they want to be able to do more cool stuff on them. And there's nothing cooler than using Scratch, right?
I don't know if anybody is working on a port to a hand-held platform but I'm sure if somebody tried hard enough, they could make it happen. If there's one thing I've learned in my many years of experience it's to never say "never".

Apple forbade Java on the iTouch and iPhone, but I think they released the ban for some reason. You can still hack it.
