Reduce Number of Stickies

Some sections of the forums are cluttered up with Stickies. In the TBG, moderator Whiz has solved this problem by creating a stickied topic called "TBG resources".

To clean up the sticky mess (lol) I think this should be done to the other cluttered forums.  smile

Re: Reduce Number of Stickies

I know cheddargirl has been working on this in all about scratch... (POST IT, USE IT, FIND IT... ect.) So yeah, I guess I agree.

Re: Reduce Number of Stickies

I think its already been reduced enough, like greenflash said. Generally that is the goal, but its fine for now. I mean not all of the forums are like this, right? I mean mainly All About Scratch, and Show and Tell

Re: Reduce Number of Stickies

How about for every topic there is one sticky called "Official Sticky List" that would have links to the threads for all sorts of stuff. Like if there were tons of Scratch Olympics things, that would be in the list and it would link to all the threads about it.

Re: Reduce Number of Stickies

In TBG, The-Whiz made just one sticky called "TBG Resources," which I thought was a good move. In this single sticky, he listed and gave links to all the important stuff, instead of stickying all of them. Perhaps the mods could do something like that?

You know, like adriangl's idea.

Re: Reduce Number of Stickies

I don't think It's that cluttered at the moment  smile

But if it was to reach about 1-2 pages of stickies, I'd agree. It's only a small scroll down for now.

Look at Show and Tell. There are a lot of stickies there.

Re: Reduce Number of Stickies

What forums are cluttered? I haven't been irritated by any of them, and haven't seen a big mess.

I saw a mention on Show and Tell, and also All about Scratch - but Show and Tell isn't that big a problem, and All about Scratch has already been reduced. But it could be reduced again, maybe...

Re: Reduce Number of Stickies

Show and Tell has only 9 stickies... which may seem a lot, but there's plenty of space for other topics. And we couldn't really sort them into different multi-stickies...

All the other forums only have approximately 3 stickies each. Probably less, but I'm not bothered to check.

Actually, the Text-Based Games multi-sticky has so little in it that I'll suggest it to be removed...

Yes, that's a lot. But it's the Scratch Team and Forum Moderator's forum, and it's their problem. Haha!
So don't worry about it.
But I would if I visited it every day... so it's a good thing I don't have any questions.

FAQ is different... it isn't like you'll be posting a topic in there and not wanting it buried...
