Flip Block?

Wouldn't it be nice to have a flip horizontally and flip vertically block? For example, when I made my tangrams project, I had to make costumes for the flipped images, and it would be a lot easier to use.

You might also call it a reflect block too...

Anyone agree?

Re: Flip Block?

Oh yes, I needed to make a lot of costumes in my Pentominoes project (you've seen it, and I've seen your tangrams project). Flipping, rotating, ouch.

But it may be a bit of an odd block... but odd blocks are what makes Scratch unique, right?
Or maybe it's just the greatness of it...

Hmph enjoy your fall - I get a lovely spring... without pans of new leaves.

Re: Flip Block?

Jens did a little project to show how to hack an old version of scratch, and add this kind of block. It HAS to be a new block!!!

Re: Flip Block?

The [point in direction [ ]] block does something, but it's not exactly what we want...

I agree!

Re: Flip Block?

Jens made it as a block once and it looks relatively simple, so why not?
