Earlier today Scratch had 592,000 projects!
Now it only has 525,000 projects! What just happened?

I don't think 70,000 projects are deleted
But they restarted the server about half an hour ago and you just noticed the problem so it might be because of the restart...

I'm guessing it just had to update or something.
I wonder what was wrong with the servers...

The project-# box is pretty in accurate?
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/fox71999/758298
Clicked on newest projects...we're in the 700,000's? (Not the 500,000's?)

I find it hard to believe that over 200,000 projects have been deleted/replaced.
And there's no need to be annoying about it.
You could have said:
There is a large quantity of projects that have been deleted. Also, the URL represents the number uploaded, not the current number.

Do you understand that projects can be deleted? And that the URL number represents the number project EVER uploaded?
The number on the front page reports the EXISTING projects only.
Asking questions for an answer, as if that person is the stupidest person who ever existed is just really pathetic. (and not proper forum etiquette, especially on a .edu site...)
