Also, thanks LIFEComputerz, for supplying a BYOB installer for Mac...
I downloaded the "Non Mac Version" and had no problems running it -and all of the bugs you mentioned did not happen with me...
I guess this is a good thing... Because I only just have the plain old BYOB 2.

Hi Galacticfuzz,
sometimes it may appear as if your computers freezes when you end up executing a custom block with infinite recursion and the "atomic" checkbox marked. In this case pressing the red stop sign will not work, but you can still interrupt the program by pressing both the Esc-key on your keyboard and any mouse button at the same time (keep both pressed for a while until BYOB "unfreezes" again)

Okay, Stefano, let me put something together for you over the weekend...
Any news Jens? As I said, I'm ready to code/test whatever you need.

Hi poppypaynterscratch,
I'm sorry you're having troubles with BYOB, but I'm also afraid I don't quite understand what's happening to you. Could you perhaps state more clearly how your blocks change in ways not intended by you? Thanks!

Thanks very much for BYOB
I needed to produce a quick animation for a school today and used BYOB to quickly convert a Scratch program to a .exe for an inspection today!

Hey Jens! I've been trying to find a way to open BYOB on Linux, is the .image in the 1.4 Scratch? Or is Scratch 1.4 done in a different way? ( I don't plan on using WINE to open BYOB, so forget about suggesting me use WINE
)

Not Jens, but:
1.You could probably rename the current Scratch.image to Scratch1.image, then rename the BYOB image to Scratch.image in the Scratch directory, then when you click on Scratch BYOB will run.
2.Scratch doesn't work with WINE anyway.

I haven't used this awesome program in a long time... I just downloaded BYOB 2.0.2, and I love the built-in Elements editor (even if I don't understand Smalltalk, haha) and the Mesh feature. But I think there should be a way to use this feature on presentaion mode, or in compiled .exes. I'm not sure if this is possible by coding new blocks (I think the code for the Mesh feature would be modified to work like a block, but I'm not a good programmer myself so that's just a guess), if so, something simple like this would be good:

Jens, I think IP Blocks and Join Mesh, Host Mesh, End Mesh blocks should all be included in a new version of BYOB, that way you can compile the project to an .exe and you won't have problems connecting. And can you also make Mesh go for the internet too, not just the Home Network?

Hello! I don't get the mesh feature. Would someone please explain what it is and what to do with it?

Mesh allows you to connect to a different computer in your home.

Okay. Cool! But it can't connect to any computer anywhere?

It can only connect to computers in your house.

Archmage made a video showing some program beta that he made so he can connect to computers through Scratch and Flash. One computer set a variable to where a cat was supposed to move and the other computer showed the result.
You can view the video here.
