Sprite backgrounds

Quick question - how do you make a sprite have a transparent background? I saved my sprite as a png, but it imports with a white background even though there isn't one in the origianal.

Re: Sprite backgrounds

Use the "color" that is the gray and white squares. Use the fill bucket to fill it it. \

Hope that helped!

Re: Sprite backgrounds

In your image editor, assign a color in the sprite's color palate as the transparent color. Save it as a gif. Then when you import it into Scratch, it just works right. Use the png format for images that do not use transparency.

aka Pain from DragonSpires, Delrith Online, BotBattle, Urban Dead etc etc lol
