"You have 1 message" But there is no message actually!
What's up?
Another problem: When I click the link that "deletes all the notifications" and reload the page, that "hidden" message comes back.

I had this problem I just waited awhile and then I saw the messages after comming back
My site Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.

I agree with Maki here, it also happens to me. Althouh with me its more commonly saying I have 1 message, but I actually have two.

it happens sometimes sometimes ur message inc but not the no this is the reverse of that reload the page aft 10 min either it will be gone or u will have a message

"It happens sometimes. Sometimes your message is in, but not the number. This is the reverse of that. Reload the page after 10 minutes. Either it will be gone, or you will have a message."

I've received 2 messages and it said "You have 3 messages". When I click the link that "deletes all of my notifications", my 2 messages disappeared, and it became "You have 1 message" again.

I've just clicked the link that "deletes all of my notifications" and it works. Now my extra message is removed. If you're also having this problem, try this.
EDIT: Wait. It's not fixed yet.

I got this bug by doing:
1. Going to messages.
2. Deleting them.
3. Go back one page, then come back to the messages page.
4. Now it will say you've got 1 message, but you really have 0.
