Saving

Hi Scratchers-
I don't know if this has happened to you, but for some reason when I save my project, the next time I try to open it, the project is gone. Although this has happened only about 7 times, it is starting to bug me. Do you know what is going on?  roll

Re: Saving

Is it really gone ? are you waiting long enough, big projects can take along time to load. Maybe before you close the project when you save it find it on your harddrive and look at the size of the file if you think it's too small, save it again somewhere else.

Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.

Re: Saving

I think I know what happening.
1. People will go into my pictures (as in the file folder) and pick an image.
2.They will make a sprite out of it, then save it.
3. The file ACCIDENTLY goes into the My Pictures file. See what I mean?

Re: Saving

Are u checking in My Projects? In 1.4 It will save all your projects under My Projects, any project you had in version 1.3.1 or less will still be saved but under Example Projects.

Try saving it as a different file each time and see if that fixes the problem

When you say the project is "gone" do you mean you can't find it to double-click on it to open it up?  Or are you trying to open it from withing Scratch?

It is easy to lose track of where your projects get saved.  I always save to the desktop and then move them somewhere else (from the operating system) after I am finished working on them.
