Anyway, I finished it yesterday I just didn't upload it, so let me do it now. Let me just hope that it didn't get deleted or anything...
Because I did make it, 1-sprite 1-script so once you click on the background thing, and then there are 3 options to choose from.

Poor you. Anyway, I updated it and made version 0.4.9, which has the thing that adriangl made, just finished. Without worry, its easy to add/remove stages, so theres no worry. And for the most part, its 1-sprite 1-script! NOTE: Do not interleaf, until final version. Although it will seem slower, this way we don't have to waste as much time interleafing and deleting.
Anyway, we need to work on moods. First of all, I think there should be a main mood that is set, and for the most part, won't change during the program. Then, I think there should be a sub-mood, for if the character is interested, or bored, or confused with what you're saying.

The background menu is great and compact Lucario, I love it!
I didn't expect you to do this, so earlier I made a version with a clicky dropdown box. It was a bit like a right click menu, but then scratch crashed and I lost all the code - then decided not to remake it because I discovered you were making one. Here's what it looked like:
Anyways - I completely love your Background menu! It functions brilliantly, looks the part and does the job in a simple way (unlike my prototype). I noticed a bug with the background switching though - it seems to flash white when you click a button.

Cool Drop-down idea. I like that one too. I'm thinking that maybe there should be a menu bar above, which has those options.
