Animation help

Can sombody help me with animation, please? I tried doing the devil's workshop, but it was very choppy, and not very goood quality. I need to know the basics of the flow, and not having it choppy. Can nanybody help?

You can try downloading some animations on Scratch and studying the costumes.

The difference in look between costumes depends on the time delay between them, of course.

If the difference between the costumes is large, you can try to draw costumes to go between them.

I'm not an animator; sorry that I can't really help. I've asked Maki-Tak to take a look at this, though.

I don't use any special programs to create my animations - Paint.NET usually does the job. ^^

If your animations look choppy, perhaps you need to decrease the delay between the costumes. Anything from 0.05 to 0.1 secs is fine and usually doesn't look choppy. ^^

The shorter the delay, the faster your animation will run - so be sure to achieve a good balance between costume number and delay time to make it run like you want it to!

Those who regularly practice animation usually develop an intuitive feeling that helps them choose the right delay and number of costumes to create a good-looking animation. Practice makes perfect!
