If you look in your Scratch message center, you will see an RSS feed for that message center at the right hand corner of the page. (it's a little orange box with the word 'subscribe' next to it).
I decided to try it out and added it to my RSS feed in my browser because I thought it would be a great way to check my messages without having to log into the Scratch website.
The RSS feed doesn't seem to notice new messages. My RSS feed counter is still at zero despite having received messages over the past week.
I wonder if it's because of a browser issue or something else. Just in case you would like to know, I use a browser called Flock (version 1.9.0.3506).

I use IE and I see some messages appear in it. Maybe it's Flock, not the RSS.

Was that when you intially added the RSS feed, or was this over time? When I initially added my RSS feed, the messages already in the message center appear in the Flock browser RSS feed panel - it just never updates

I didn't notice there was a box. Gotta try it out. I'll report back...
Sounds like a good idea. Just make sure to leave it alone for a few days for a few days first and wait for a new message to be added to your message center (for me, the browser picks up the messages already in the message center when initially added to the RSS feeds panel. But it never detects any new message I receive after that).
Oh, and don't forget to mention the browser you are using, so we can determine of it's a Flock error or not.

At first it didn't work. But it updates overtime. I'm using Firefox. I think it takes a while before detecting of there is a new message or not so it is a bit late. That's all I can say! Hope that helps!

Hmm, maybe because I'm constantly deleting messages in my message center I'm not giving enough time for the feed to update properly. In that case, I think I'll leave my messages alone for a few days and see what happens.

That could be true.
And you misspelled feed in the title. "feeed"

Whoops, I'll go fix that now.

Huh, that's wierd. It seems a lot of feeds don't work. Honestly, I never use feeds...
Well, for me, the recent projects feed for following individual Scratchers work quite well - those update pretty frequently. And all my other feeds work, it's just the message center feed that is currently giving me trouble. (which is why I'm a bit hesitant to blame my browser
)

Which browser are you using to view the feed?

Okay, now I know something is wrong: I decided to get rid of the feed and re-import it. There were twelve messages in the message center, so, theoretically, when imported, the feed should also have twelve messages - when I imported it, only one message (the earliest one) shows up. Is anyone else getting this when importing and viewing the feed with their own browsers?

Feed is a funny word lol. Although I don't use them really. Too complicated >.>

I don't know the problem. So I just check in the website. Now there's this fg123's Notifications thing on my Bookmarks Toolbar.

I'm using Firefox 3.5.4
Hmm, interesting.
I know the Flock browser is based off of the design of Mozilla Firefox (up to the point where Flock accepts Firefox add-ons and the browser is sometimes mistaken for Firefox by browser deterctors). Maybe there is something with the way Mozilla Firefox was designed that causes an issue with the feed.
The again, you're seeing the same problem in Firefox, but fg123 is not (I wonder what version fg123 is using).

Interesting... when looking into my message center feed, only one message shows up (a rather outdated, and already deleted one), and when clicking it, it goes straight to my message center, not the message itself...
Anyone else seeing this?

If it updates at the right time, sometimes I get an old message. I think the feed just isn't made right or something.

Does the feed work for others? Like the Projects and Galleries?

The only other Scratch feeds I have are for other users projects. Those are working fine. I'm not sure about galleries or other project feeds because the only gallery feed I have is to one that hasn't updated in a long time, and I have no other project feed other than what I have stated.
RSS message center feed is driving me crazy!
