Re: Dawnlight is back!

Well, there's a whole new forum for the TBG (http://scratch.mit.edu/tbgforums/index.php) and nikkiperson2 and I are the moderators. The criteria for a signature is now 15 days instead of 50 posts.

Re: Dawnlight is back!

Welcome back!

Dragon eggs came in peoples sigs, then died out. The signature requirement changed from 50 posts to 15 days. Text based games closed and moved to another part of the site. The-Whiz and Nikkiperson2 mod there. Technoman started the scratch olympics, now the halloween ones are almost over.

That's all I can think of right now!  tongue

(oops, the-whiz beat me!)

Re: Dawnlight is back!

Hi DawnLight, glad to see you're back! We missed you.  big_smile

You missed out on a lot since your absence.
- Scratch 1.4 came out (Download it now for the new 'ask' block and commenting feature!  big_smile )
- There is now an image height limit on pictures in signatures (no more than 150 pixels high).
- the Scratch Team changed the signature rule to a time limit of 15 days instead of a post requirement of 50 posts.
- there was a whole debate about the Text-Based games forum. The Scratch Team closed it down, but created a separate forum for the games in the process. The-Whiz and nikkiperson2 are the new moderators for the text-based games, and the Scratch Team is deciding on possibly doing moderator rotation (that is changing TBG moderators every once in a while). The link for the new TBG forum is in andresmh's sticky which is in the already archived TBG forum.
- there is currently a Dragon Cave egg fad going around. People have dragons and dragon eggs in their signatures.
- technoman created a project fad with his Scratch Olympics. The recent Olympics that took place was the Halloween Olympics.
- there was a whole religious debate started by someone called Mayhem. It has since died down. EDIT Actually, I think it has been restarted yet again. Oh the drama that ensues on in that thread...  tongue
- floatingmagictree is aiming to be bluestribute's post count
- some Scratchers formed a Scratch newspaper, but it has slowed down in September. I think iamprk is looking for a new manager to take care of it now.

Hopefully that's everything.  tongue

'Case you're wondering, Me and Keikij basically were the pioneers of the dragon fad. He had the first dragon, and I had the Dragon Egg Hatcherey, which basically attracted everyone and at 75+ pages, is my most sucsessful topic.

Hi DawnLight! I started using the forums after you got banned... so I only know about you through earlier posts. But I've heard that you're very enthusiastic about the Scratch Community...  smile

Welcome back Dawn. ^^

http://i52.tinypic.com/5es7t0.png I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Re: Dawnlight is back!

Welcome back! ^_^

While you were away some guy was boasting about hacking your account... He was telling people your password or something, I don't know if he was telling the truth.
Not sure what that was about. He got banned shortly after.
