"QFT" means "Quoted For Truth". It's not a typo. I'm so sorry, but I love that mistake. XD
Also... I make animations and what not.QTF can't mean "Quoted For Truth" that would be QFT

Sorry for the offtopicness, but g8rghr, it is kind of easy to know what you said when you put the translation right below. I am also sure that there is at least onething wrong with your spanish in that stament.
I just had to point that out. Sorry.
I agree with Jonathonpb

I agreed with you up until the "movie" part. Animating is still programing, it requires scripting. I believe the Scratch motto is "Imagine-Program-Share" and not "Imagine-make games-Share". Scratch isn't Just about learning how to make games, it's about having fun as well.
But I do agree with you about the Pictures part. Scratchers who mainly draw pictures for projects would probably enjoy using sites like deviantART or Photobucket.
I agree. I also hate projects where They have new about themselves, and they post personal issues. Who gives a [removed] if you have heartburn? Use twitter for this [removed]!

Oftentimes people will say they have some sort of disease so people feel bad for them, and then they get views out of pity, and not interest. I think that this is unethical, because it's making it seem like less of a big deal for people who actually HAVE the disease.
Like the time un-named user said that they were going to die in 2 weeks because they were going to kill themselves over Scratch. That's going way too far. (I'm not putting the person's name in to protect their identity; although most people already know.)

Hey Lonwol, I really appreciate your opinion, but please don't use inappropriate language on the Forums and try to express your opinions in a more polite manner.
Thanks and Scratch on!

The letters doesn't involve any scripting really as you stated, but however some letters (like MyRedNeptune's Oh noes! project) are informative and they keep you 'updated' about other scratchers. The thing is, those can be posted in the forums and advertised in projects with links, instead of taking up space on the front page.
I think it's good to point out that people on the front page don't usually mean to get up there, unless it's a remix chain. For example, Nikki made a project called Nikki finds the tails doll and it got on the front page. Everyone started remixing it, and it got all over the front page. It sparked this huge arguement, and then Nikki tried to get people to stop remixing, and it didn't really work. It's not the creator's descision to be on the front page, it's the scratch community's.
Yes, Yes, Yes. Thank you.
Most of the time, I don't really want my projects on teh Frontpage. I want projects that people spend weeks (or even months) working hard to make. It's annoying when people think that I personally put them there.

Well I find annoucements annoying. I usually annouce stuff in projects too but they really don't deserve the front page. I think the front page should be for projects people spent time and hard work in. A solution would be voting for featured projects but then most people would vote for lame animations and stupid annoucements. But that's why they have the curator system anyways.

I made a suggestion a while back to the Scratch Team that, if accepted, could help the 'announcement project' problem.

As you said "The point of Scratch is to learn how to program"
Isn't all projects with scripts approved then?not the letters! the letters don't involve any programming whatsoever. The movies aren't as bad, but they're just a string of pictures with one script or another: [blocks]<if><mouse down?><next costume>[/blocks]
Not all movies are made like that, many people use Scratch for animations like one of Cheddargirl's project (About a plushie).

I am TIRED of the kind of projects that are on the front page with the top loved and top viewed. I'm talking about the projects that have letters, like the common "Goodbye Scratch" projects or the "I'm sorry" projects, and those kind of projects. People who make those projects don't get Scratch. The point of Scratch is to learn how to program, and the good projects with actual scripting should get the front page. The lame "Goodbye, Scratch" projects take up ALL of the front page spaces.
PLEASE, REPLY IF YOU AGREE! I want to know if I'm not the only one who thinks this.
I agree about that. Projects with no scripts are NOT programming, and Scratch is a programming website. Therefore, projects with no scripts should not be allowed on the front page. The problem would be that the few people who want to be on the front page and don't actually want to program could just put one meaningless script so they are allowed.
Fortunately, haven't notice too many no-script projects on the front page. There are a lot of animations there most of the time, and although I would enjoy more variation, animating does require programming (sometimes a massive amount,) so I don't mind too much.
