I'll tell you the format when you're ready...That was fast! That is a great format so far, I'll see what pinochio has and see if we can mix it.
That's why they call me The-Whiz.

I've added the format now... It's pretty complicated.
Lol, and good
. Pinochio is working on his version, and Jacool and I are working on answers, sentences, etc. . This is sounding to me like a next big hit on Scratch!

I might be able to help a bit. I have one idea, that will help narrow things down. Put the different things you can talk about into different categories. There would be a couple main categories:
How
What
When
Why
Where
etc....
Or possibly there could just be general categories:
Greetings
Goodbyes
Feelings
etc...
Also to show the Scratch cat's emotions, you could use BATzer's project:
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/BATzerk/242028
I'm going to work on getting different categories and questions. So not neccecarily a programmer. EDIT: I'm actually going to look at some of runescape's quickchat phrases, and write them down....also some of the phrases wouldn't make sence, some i'm putting most of them here, but not all...
Also another thing to note for the programmers - it might be better if it looks for keywords, and not looking for the exact sentence. That way it can understand more things...

Chatbots are very complex programs
Here is an example of one http://www.jabberwacky.com/

Cool! It really feels like a real person, in a way though.

Sorry Lucario but we already have the 3 programmers. If you want to help there is still a spot for graphic designer.

Sure. I don't want to be a programmer anyway - I just want to help with ideas, and how it will generally work. So yes I'll work on designing the graphics too.

The thing is, you would have to put the entire English Dictionary in there- or at least the millions of simple words- and the billions of possible uses and chains of words. Then, you would have to put ALL of the possible answers. Otherwise, the project would just be too simple with even 10 or 20 questions.
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/g8rghr/1635124 My new number one project: ZOMBIES! Based on the Zombies from Call of Duty. Check it out!Offline

Okay, I will put your name under graphics just so people know there are no more slots.
Anyways, I made a simple mood indicator : http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/adriangl/741949 So far the only moods are good, bad, and moderate but I can change that later.

I also think it should fit on scratch, so you dont have to download it. Also, which account do we upload it on?
Account I am not sure, probably yours because you're the most popular. I really don't think it is that big that we need to make an account just to upload it, but first lets worry about finishing it.

I am thinking of a way so that in every mood there is a different response to something. Hello-Good=What's up?,Bad=Go Away!,Moderate=Hi
hmm.... But would'nt that take away the realism of the conversation? Or mabye I jsut understood you wrong...

Well, if someone was in a bad mood they wouldn't say "What's up?", that would probably be someone in a good mood. I'm actually trying to make it more realistic.

Ok I uploaded the simple Scratch Cat. There are 2 variables for Eye expression and mouth expression, so depending on the question it just has to switch the variable for a certain amount of seconds...

Thanks guys for working and I will check out the cat Lucario.
Edit: Lucario, nice job and am pretty sure we should use that, but I recommend that you make one because Batzerk is not on the team and you are. But make it like this one(blinks, etc.) so it is like it is alive.

Adriangl, I think you're taking it a bit too far. It works fine, and I think its better than working harder, for less, so chill out

Ok - What about backgrounds? We can have an ordinary white background or something else. Ideas?
One I had was one of those backgrounds that reminds you of 'Who wants to be a millionaire' or something along those lines. Its all back, but light is shining on the scratch cat. Upon doing this, I'd have to fine-out the edges of the scratch cat so you can't see that thin white line on the edge, but it won't be too much of a hassle.

For a backround I would do something tech-ish. I think you know what I mean... To make it look 'cool'
