Good observation. I've just been spending more time playing PMD lately, due to the lack of people here who will actually battle me.
I did go to a local tournament a couple of days ago, and placed 1st out of 128. I don't think the vast majority of them even knew how to EV train, sadly.

Congrats on your win. I will send you virtual cake.

What were most teams like? A team full of hacked shiny dialgas with absurd EV spreads and a moveset of Dragon Rush, Draco Meteor, Dragon Claw, and Roar of time?

Actually, Arceus was predominantly used. Practically all teams were full of shiny Ubers. Highlight of the day was someone who attempted to use a team full of hacked Spiritombs with Wonder Guard. Someone else warned me about it, so I baton passed a couple of attack and a load of Speed Boosts to a Rampardos. The opponent obviously had no clue what Mold Breaker did, and proceeded to quit claiming "He's cheating! My Spiritomb has Wonder Guard, which means only Super Effective moves hit, and nothing's Super Effective against Spiritomb!"
One of the funniest and most ironic things I've ever heard.

Lol. Cheaters don't understand the game at all.

Pokemon has lots of things which most people who play fair don't know either.
For instance, did you know that if you use Defense Curl, the Base Power of Rollout is raised to 60?

Re: The Pokémon Center: Tournaments, Trades, and Battles

A good (not good, smart) cheater who understands the game might add 8-20 extra EVs to each stat. Hardly a noticeable change unless you're affecting a usually guaranteed OHKO or something, but it would be very helpful.

Smart. You can also use a pokemon with Scrappy and use a fighting move or do Odor Sleuth first.

Re: The Pokémon Center: Tournaments, Trades, and Battles

I have Pokemon Pearl and just recently restarted my game, all of my pokemon are lvl 30 (or around there)...bleh. Can I connect with people who have Platinum, evem with Pearl?

I don't plan on battling anyone until I beat the game again and breed some stronger pokemon with EV training.

Yes, you can connect with Platinum if you have Pearl version.

I'm offering Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Mudkip, Turtwig or Piplup for other starters that I don't have.

Go to the Wi-Fi Club. NOW. (or tomorrow since you don't appear to be online)

I'll get back to you as well, TheSaint, just be patient...

Re: The Pokémon Center: Tournaments, Trades, and Battles

I need to trade my Graveler so it can evolve.
Can someone let me trade it to them, and then trade it back?

Name: Nikki
FC: 0990 1621 8241

One more thing...
Does anyone have an Eevee, and what would they want for it?

Re: The Pokémon Center: Tournaments, Trades, and Battles

Do you guys use Action Replay to get shinies? I used to have an action replay, but then I realized it wasn't even fun anymore when I could just get whatever I wanted without working for it, because there's no fun in that >.>
that's why I restarted my game, practically all my pokemon were hacks.

There was also some cheat in Silver that if you bred a normal Gyarados with the red one, you'd get a gold magikarp
It didn't work

Nope, never used it. I only have 3 shinies. But I really want the second gen starters.
