Thanks everyone, especially to MyRedNeptune, for your help. Nikkiperson2  and The-Whiz will be the moderators of the new forum. We are considering rotating moderators every month, so it is possible we might pick some of the other people who wanted to be moderators in the future. I have sent nikkiperson2 and The-Whiz a notification to welcome them and I expect to start talking to them about what we expect from a moderator.

Well, the rotating mod thing is an interesting idea, the only thing is, users have said that there are certain users that they would be worried if that person became a mod, and even though I know the Scratch team could strip them of their mod powers or ban them if they became unruly, I don't want to see anyone unruly in the first place.

That's a good idea, for the most part, all of the candidates would have made fine Moderators. It's a good idea to give other people a chance~
