Yes, Vista4563 is right. Half of the people who tops ( Not pointing out names.) are people who gained popularity in puerile ways. Then again I don't care ^3^.
I can add that possibly some people didn't read the petitions. That would cause PV's only.
(PV= popularity votes)

So do I, J0j2, so do I. If they take the PVs and HVs (honest votes), that's fine. If they take Selectricity's word for it, that's fine too.

The popular people are quite active and kind though! They'd still be pretty good moderators.

Maybe they did read the petitions and ignored it or held doubts about it. Obviously, people are free to ignore things they read and hear.
I have to admit, I'm a bit surprised with some of the results. There are certain candidates where I was not expecting to be in the top ten list: I'm not too happy with them there because I have difficulty believing that they can hold up to be a moderator (I've seen cases where they have been drama-prone and acted out in rather unsavorly manners ).
But I don't believe the Scratch Team will decide on purely the votes alone. Good character, a willingness to help out with monitoring TBGs, and perhaps the ability to encourgae creativity in TBGs will probably play a role in the Team's decision.

Wow . . . until about 10 seconds ago, I was not aware I was even running for the position of moderator . . .

@Penguinsrock: So am I. I mean, I haven't joined until recently, and I'm not very popular.

It's GREAT for this to be happening. Experiencing an election is amazing at the time, as I'm learning about Government in school at the time. Maybe I'll share this with my teacher and class.

I joined a while ago but I second not being very popular. Only a short period of time which lasted for 2 weeks.

@piemaster: Well, I don't have many friends who are popular at school, so that makes me quite unpopular by association. Plus, once I tried to "break the ice", but the only thing I got from THAT was laughter. Quite ironic, really. My 5th grade teacher recited it in front of my whole class when I was absent. Then, everyone was calling me "shoes." But then again, my 6th grade teacher made a quite funny joke about a friend. Soon everyone, including myself, was giving her the alias of "coconut."

I have friends and school but I can't seem to keep them. I believed when I was young of age. " My awesomeness was too good for them." But later I figured I sometimes don't know the right thing to say at times and it concludes to loss of Friendship. *shrug* idc XD.

Seriously now, are you going to drop that? It causes other people to think differently about you, and second, that may cause people to vote differently. This has been proven before. One hurtful comment can prove fatal. No offense to anyone regarding Scratch™, but elections can turn tables if one says something bad.
