We could make a y scrolling board game!
What it is: There are 2 players, and you have four trick-or-treaters each. You have to take the dice which randomly generates a number 1-6. Every time you get a 6, you can send a new trick or treater to the board. Any number other than 6 allows you to move any of your trick-or-treaters. Every 5 turns however, ghosts randomly pop up in a few random squares. If a ghost comes on the same tile as a trick-or-treater, that person goes to the graveyard. First one to reach the end, or last team standing, wins. In the event of a tie, there is a tie-breaker minigame.
The tie-breaker minigame is a test to see who can get the most candy that randomly pops up for a few seconds.Nice Idea! Also, three areas I can help with is:
1) Incorporate a debug mode (so it can make it easier while we are making the game)
2) Music![]()
3) Misc. scripting
Please tell me if there is more I could do!It always seemed like a lot of work to make a debug mode to me, but if you can do it, great!
I'm going to start working on graphics.
Have you ever seen my "Education in Greece" project? The hidden debug mode in that only took around 5-10 minutes. I can make this debug mode let you skip to places on the board and stuff...

Sounds like a good idea for a project, there should also be a single player mode.

I think FMT suggested a board game, so we can add pumpkins and ghosts to add "Halloweenness" to it. We could also incorporate a single player mode, AND up to 4 players
! Alas, it's just a suggestion

Also... What will the Name of the game be?

Yay. then after I can add music (maybe) and a debug mode! I can also do some scripting, but I'm not too talented when it comes to that
. I can add velocity movement and other miscellaneous scripts if you'd like though
!

I'm actually putting on my test account. illusionist_extra.
---------------------------------------
For the game, I have some ideas.
1. When a trick or treater gets caught, it dies. Disappears. Right? but when your last one gets eaten by a ghost, it goes back to the start point.
2. There will be haunted houses along the way, if you land on one, you will enter that "candy catching" mini-game you mentioned. You get points for the amount of candy you get.
Bonuses will be awarded for points!
500 - move ahead 5 spaces
1000 - Extra trick-or-treater
1500 - Free turn! (use whenever you want)
2000 - Kill (kill anyone of your opponent's trick-or-treaters)
3000 - 3 extra trick-or-treaters
5000 - 3 Pumpkin bombs (drop them on any uninhabited spaces you want, they kill trick or treaters when they land on them!)
Improvements and suggestions are welcome.
3. The goal is a big haunted house at the end. At the end, if there is a tie, there should a candy eating contest. Exactly like the candy catching game, but the candy is falling into your mouth.
Higher points win!

OK, so I made a project HERE. It does nothing, but has a background, some graphics, and eerie glowing jack-o-lanterns...nothing much
. I'll work on it more tomorrow!
IMPORTANT TIP: Wait around 1-5 seconds and the jack-o-lanterns will glow
!

Actually it's supposed to be a Y Scroller not an X scroller, but that's pretty good for now.
