Agreed. Summer and winter is good, and maybe get word out like 2-3 months before the deadline, as to have them be top-quality projects -  things that can be representations of the potentials of scratch and be inspirations to aspiring programmers.

I am going to do summer and winter for now on. I just wanted to do halloween because it sounded fun.

the reason were doing halloween is cuz people on scratch are kids, they have shorter attention spans, but who cares kids rule. if you dont do things often enough people lose interest, thats why you have to keep them interested, i agree with what your saying but if you look at it form another perspective, the longer you wait the less attention it will attract.  but i agree, summer and winter from now on.

hey everyone as of now im pretty sure thats its too late to register a team so good luck to those who have already registered, there is a week until halloween so go as fast as you can!
also animations are acceptable, its the best project not the best game
we have judges already so though we appreciate it there is no need to say that you want to.

What do you mean by judging scripting? Like going into the project to see how efficient or creative the programming itself is?
