Free Music, Anyone?

Hello, I am looking for a good site with free music that nearly always works with Scratch. Also, if you have a project with some good music that you're willing to share, could you please post it? Thank you.

I have a lot of music in my projects.  smile

I'm not sure if linking to sites with free music is legal though...  hmm

http://i52.tinypic.com/5es7t0.png I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Hey Penguingirl55, you may be interested in these sites:

http://www.freesound.org/
http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/
http://www.freesfx.co.uk/

These websites freely release music under a Creative Common license, and insofar that I have not had any troubles uploading them into Scratch project, they should be able to work when you upload them as well.   smile

Re: Free Music, Anyone?

some music is copyrighted, but creativecommons.org has music using a creative commons license. Scratch projects use a CC license. It is attribution, Share alike, which means you can use it, as long as you show who made it, and you share it with the same licence.

I think I might know the word he was using, but I'd rather not say it.

Re: Free Music, Anyone?

yeah, i dont really think this sort of thing belongs on a kid site.

but on the other hand, download [program names removed by moderator] Those programs let you download HEAPS of music. MP3 is safer and faster though  smile

Hey Penguinsrock, I know you mean well, but I don't think it's a good idea to suggest websites where people can download music illegally.

I don't think it's a good idea to encourage the use of programs that allow illegal downloading and that can harm the safety of a computer.

----------
Everyone, please don't post methods that encourage illegal music downloads.
----------
Anyway, for those interested in some free music, try these websites for sounds to download legally.  smile
