I recently downloaded Audacity. I am new to the program, so I would like advice from other more experienced Scratch members. This is a general topic, but there is a specific question of mine that I would like answered.
How do you change the effects of ONLY ONE track? I am having trouble with the selection tools.
Thanks!

All you have to do is select the one track that you want to change the effects on, and then change the effects.

I've tried it. Not working.
And as soon as I've said that it works. Computers are so fickle.

It should work... maybe you're not doing it right. Try this: click on any spot on the audio track that's after it's played, and then click edit, go to select, and click on curser to start. It would be easier to just select it with the mouse though.

Open the track in audacity
go edit: select all
go effect, choose the effects you want

OK, I followed your advice and noticed that it works for most effects, but for the one that changes pitch without changing speed, it affects all of them no matter what. How annoying.

Uh . . . I think so . . . There is a yellow outline around it. I select the track, edit, pitch, and change it 100% or so, and my voice sounds high pitched, but the guitar solo on the song also goes up a bunch.

It should look like this when your voice is selected:
The first track is your voice. The second is the guitar solo.

ok, click on a part of the first track, and then drag across the whole track, to only select that track
