Note: I'm assuming that you have the move Magikoopa Mob attack (When the Fawfulcopters with the keys hide, chase the one that went left), you have the Falling Star attack (Peaches Castle attack pieces), and you're at least star rank.

Okay, here's the final boss, Dark Bowser! Well you actually have to defeat the dark star core to beat Dark Bowser. Before you go into the battle, have these items on Bowser: Wicked Shell, Economy Ring, Special Fangs X. All of these are found on the field. You can't buy then in shops! For Mario: King Wear, Tight Belt, and Guardian Socks. Most of these are bought in the Star Rank Shop in the mall. For Luigi: Star Wear, Small Shell, Gumption Socks. The socks are really useful! If Luigi's KOed, he gets revived the next turn! Now for Dark Bowser!

When you find him, a cutscene happens and the Mushroom kingdom is engulfed in darkness! Here are his attacks:
If he pulls out a boulder, he'll toss it into the air and shoot a fireball at it. Flaming pieces rain down on you. Shell block ones that fall in the middle and make sure to punch at least one in front of you!
If he traps you in a cage, keep punching until you're free. If you don't do that in time, Dark Bowser will shoot an energy ball at you.
If you see him charging up a punch, get ready to punch back. He'll charge at you, and if you don't punch in time, He'll keep punching you and it'll be hard not to get KOed. If you punch in time, he'll curl up into a spike ball and tries to land on you or in front of you. If it's in front, punch. If it's on you, shell block.

Once you deal about 1000 damage (Or 3 succesful Magikoopa Mob attacks), he'll fall down, only to be revived by (Guess who?) Fawful! Then he'll grow big and throw a clump of goombas, shells, thwomps, and bullet bills at you. You get knocked back, and then you'll have to punch and duck through all those enemies. Once it's your turn, punch his belly and Fawful will come out. Then it's your turn again, so suck Fawful up and the battle shifts to the Bros.

Fawful falls in front of the bros and transforms into a monster! Here are his attacks:
If you see the dark star flash, a Fawful head appears and chases you. The dark star flies around and tries to knock the bros into the Fawful head. When you see him overhead, look at the color surrounding him. Jump with the bro of the color and keep watch for that until the attack's over.
If his hands go into the ground in front of you, energy balls run down the hand. Hammer them.
If his hands pick you up, the dark star goes down and releases bursts of energy. If it's at your level, jump over it. Make sure not to jump into it!

To actually deal damage, use Snack Baskets to deal damage to his legs. Use them only because his legs go up at random, and its usually the one you're aiming for. Once 2 legs are gone, use a strong attack on the last leg to make sure that all his legs will be gone. Once you destroy his legs, he falls down. Make sure to keep hitting him with Falling Stars (This is where the tight belt comes in handy). In this time frame, he has new attacks:
He swings some energy above your head and, at a random time, the energy goes down and you have to jump.
He shoots some energy at a random bro. It moves slowly, but is strong. Hit it with your hammer.
After a couple turns, the dark star goes back into Dark Bowser. Repeat this process several times to defeat Fawful, then the game will prompt you to deal the finishing blow. Congrats: You beat the game!
