Apparently, the guy got way more hits with "you should follow me on twitter here" than "follow me on twitter".
Interesting stuff, I am trying it out

well, I can see why it works.
people react to full sentences.
just predicates (or SHORT sentences with implied subjects) isn't as motivating.
(even though you know you know it's telling you to whatever it is, some of your mind just isn't buying it)

It's actually true
Nearly anywhere, give your title a strange/interesting name, and everyone comes to see what the fuss is about, and if it isn't related, they read anyway.
I got lots of people onto my board on Neopet's, just my titling it 'I EATZ UR BRAINZ'. Not perfect I know, but it stood out o.o

Same with my newest project, ZOMG Pumpkinz! Interesting name, related to another infamous scratch project, and uses internet lingo.
I still don't know what the Z stands for...

Wow, nice link Archmage! I was really impressed by this. Mostly the layout and the way it was designed. This guy really knows what he is doing! xD

It's too long. D: Apparently that trick is not appropriate in your case.
You should be quite intuitive to get it right, Imho.
