I don't think they're neccessary. We do know that there's the possibility of a new website if there are enough moderators, so why say it's dead? It's still there, and it might live on.

He posted the first topic, as a should I suggest, but after realising stuff (mainly the responses of other people) he posted an actual suggestion, so it wasn't just him smile

He just wanted to get it off the Scratch website, not necessarily completely delete it.

Yeesh, so Jonathanpb had an idea and he shared it. That's no reason to flame. If I say I think Scratch's new mascot should be Gobo (which I don't really think), would you flame me for that?

Would the Scratch Team change their mascot? Would they add that funny, disappearing grey rectangle I keep seeing in paint editor as an official Scratch sprite?
