Andrés has created a sticky in the Text-Based Games mentioning that it will be closed in a week.

Therefore, all of the work is done.

Well, not quite yet, there is still the issue of possibly creating a new section and finding new moderators. And with the popularity of TBGs and the need for TBG mods, I guess Scratch is now in a season of moderator campaigns and vouches.  tongue

I meant posting topics and arguing. And I'm talking about me! Because I won't have to post any more topics and discuss with people...

That's very kind greenflash! And you said to everyone... you actually realize most of it was others!

I feel so powerful.  big_smile

That nice, now go congratulate some men in prison for serial killing why don't you :3 Then you can go rub the fact that a man killed their sibbling/friend/relative/other in one of the sibbling/friend/relative/other's face  big_smile
Hows that sound?

You're just sore because you mainly use the forums for playing games. But the rest of us who are alive don't care because we use the forums for its rightful purpose.  smile

He wasn't congratulating me for getting rid of the Text-Based Games; it was because it worked. Anyway...

Close, but wrong. We're just jubilant, because it's over. No more insults and everything.

EDIT: There still are insults. Read the post below this, for example!

Re: Thank you everyone who supported me and who didn't!

He'll congratulate his supporters and his (still rather grumpy) opposers, but johnathan won't mention the one person who said he didn't mind it being deleted but it felt like a bad idea?

Great, just great. Don't let it be known that I said that.

Yeah?

This topic was saying thanks to everyone, whether they supported me or not. And I did. Read my post.

Why don't you stop?

Actually, the post has nothing about congratulating my supporters.

You didn't read the topic, did you? If you did, then you are another ignorant person.

Why don't you get it? I call people ignorant because they are ignorant! They always ignore things!

I think that sounds quite mean, and very demeaning and disrespectful towards yourself and others in the Scratch community, regardless of whatever positions they took on the issue.

The Scratch Team has been discussing the topic with Forum Moderators on the topic weeks before - it came to the consensus that changes needed to be made to the Scratch forums. And ultimately it was the Scratch Team's decision to have the 'Text-Based Games' forum section closed down, with the possible alternative solution to open a new section of the Scratch website dedicated to text-based games in general.

Comparing the support of removal of the TBGs to the support of serial killing is too much, inappropriate, and uncalled for.
==========

I sense that this is going to turn into an awful flame war with Text-Based Games supporters turning against Jonathanpb in a vehement rage. This topic is now closed.
