And thus, a robotic kitty will join the election. FALCONN PAWWNCH!
Back to more serious (maybe) matters:
I think I would make a good moderator for the new TBG page on scratch because:
I'm on a lot- Nah TON fits the description.
Well... Hmm I only spend most my time in the forums.
When i'm in the forums I'm always RPGing or Playing other people's games
Hmm... well I guess I would say i've been on scratch for 5 months; But i do have a account I started more than 1 years ago (True) so i've seen scratch long.
My whole life is wasted in the TBG, Why not I waste it as a mod and help people also?
Like 3000 of my posts are from the TBG (lol XD)

its not fair, people think me and nikki will only win cause we are "popular" I really could care less about popularity, but it just seems to follow me.
Plus, as long as he doesn't use project's to get votes, he technically isn't doing anything wrong. People should vote for DC because he is kind, caring, knows a lot about scratch, not because he is popular.

Are the ones on the list to be mods allowed to vouch?
Because I want to vouch for Dream-Caster, Nikkiperson2 and FantasyTales anyway

haha, I fail at getting vouched for.... YAY me...
I have a question, is there anything I can do on scratch other than being a user? Like a translator, mod, or ANYTHING? And what are other possibilities... just wondeirng...

I don't actually know o.o try asking Andres
I also have no vouches, but I don't really mind ^_^ I only want to help with the new forums if possible ^_^ but I'm also interested in what is going to happen.
2 days until the TBG's go from here, don't know if the new forum will exist straight away.

Shouldn't those go in the hatchery? *Points to inspiration and more*
o.o But good question? Why do people get mad at them D:
On Neopets, I became semi-poular for 3 weeks (won gallery spotlight and had 2 stories published). And all I got was random neomails asking for items or for be to accept neofreind requests kinda similar... maybe?

Just a few questions I'd like answered:
1. Approximately how many moderators are you planning to elect? (I'd hope two, three, or four)
2. Will you be able to use your Scratch user for the new website? (I am very sure that it's a yes, judging from what everyone says. But it's nice to know officially)
3. Will you be moving in all of the old games? (It's common sense, but then again, I'd like to know officially)
4. Will the old Text-Based Games posts be removed from the post counts? (I'm fine either way)
5. Will the posts in the new website change your post count in the Scratch Forums? (I'm fine either way in this also)
6. Will the posts in the Scratch Forums change your post count in the new website? (Yes, I'm fine either way)
Yes, the website might not be created. But if it does, I'd like to know these things.Probably 4, as the Scratch forums have 4... MyRedNeptune, JSO, cheddargirl, and one more person...
If the Scratch Forums have four, how many will a portion of the Scratch Forums have? But since the Text-Based Games are popular, I'd say three. Actually, four. It's good to have extra, and three seems too empty.

Thanks for Dissing me that was like a hammer blow to the face very rude. And do u think just cause I get on the front page alot I am lesser then you?you under estimate me if you do then.If you thought I am unsuitable maybe you could have kept to yourself instead of shouting "NO WAY" ? You may not realize it but that's totally disrespectful torwards me.
Dream-Caster, when he says "reputation", he means "what the Scratch Community think of him/her". If everyone likes a person, then they have a very good chance of becoming a moderator. Especially if the Scratch Team likes the person also.

2. Yes
3. No
4. No
5. No
6. No
Thanks Andrés! I appreciate your time.
I see that the games aren't going to be moved in... but that's all right. We can just make them again! And it'll be nice and clean... and it'll be more of a new website.
Thanks again!

A lot of people want to be moderators... so I'm quite sure that some people have overlooked some things...
You have to visit the website each day (hopefully more than once).
You have to visit all of the topics and skim through them (you might get away with not every topic, but still...).
You have to be polite.
You have to help others when they need it (and when they might not need it, of course!).
You have to pay attention to the reports.
You have to use your common sense.
And finally, you must use your power for good and not evil.
It takes plenty of work to be a moderator. It isn't very easy.
Just a reminder...

I do pretty much all of those, most days ^^
And moderating can sound hard, sometimes xD
I currently help moderate a small board of 300 people, but it gets active So I usually have to go back 18 pages and check what to delete
Never done anything as big as a forum, sound interesting in a way.

Now let's not go crazy people. xP It's not the community who makes the decision, it's the Scratch Team. And I'm pretty sure they will choose the right people. ^^

I would add my own points to that list... I think a moderator should:
-be able to logically explain their decisions (one of the most important factors, which, as I noticed, is often overlooked)
-be able to take on a neutral position when needed (I should say that it is needed quite often xP)
-be familiar with the goals and intentions of the Scratch Team (also overlooked)
-not be too impulsive
-a TBG mod should be active in TBG
A moderator should also be aware that they might have to give up something for the sake of moderation. For example, moderators should be careful when voicing their opinion, and when they do, they should generally base their opinion on the Terms of Use and the goals of the Lifelong Kindergarten group.
For this reason, you might not get as much communication as you might have wanted, and you should be ready to face that.
Btw this is just my opinion, so feel free to disagree or anything. ^^
