You may not know this, but I also make videos on Windows Movie Maker. I say, I am a "pro" when it comes down to that program. Although, I can't post them on YouTube, because I can't get an account there (don't ask why, please stay on topic). Anywho, I wish there was some way I could post them, especially on Scratch where all my friends on Scratch could see.
So I was thinking if you could import Windows Movie Maker Projects onto Scratch Projects. It would be nice if this feature would be put in Scratch 1.4.1 or Scratch 1.5.
Thank you for reading my suggestion.

( I bet I know why you can't get an account, cause I can't either. )
Scratch is for Scratch Projects, so this probably isn't likely to happen.
( Btw, mind teaching me how to use it, as I don't even look at it but I'm starting to work around with it and make movies. )

Yeah, I don't think it's going to happen either. (also, I can't get an account on there either)

There isn't any way to be a "pro" at WMM. It's a completely basic program, not to mention that it's kind of limited.

You could just be very good at controlling it, making good movies, etc...

OK, what do you want to know?

As much as possible, I could learn on my own quite quickly though. I'll look into it sometime and if I have problems, I'll ask you.

Well then, get a Mac, and you get iMovie, a MUCH better program than WMM.

The thing is, Scratch isn't made for all of these animations and things. Although it has the capabilities for it, going to complete animations with frames, and movies and such is going too far. I always think of scratch as Animations, Interactive Art, Games. Equally.

Okay, here's what you need to do.
1) Make the movie. Export it to AVI.
2) Download some AVI to GIF converter.
3) Import the GIF into scratch.
Of course, it will be slow, and large. But it still works.

convert a video file to a gif. (using media-convert.com (Extremely low-quality + large file) or camtasia studio (medium quality + medium large file))

Maybe Scratch should have the ability to have the sprites and the background have video costumes and video backgrounds.

panther has the capability to use a webcam for live costume updating. and you could also use the to make videos. but the downside is you can't upload panther files to scratch so its pretty much worthless

This is a pretty old topic... Maybe your efforts to help would be better spent in newer topics?

Types of image files. (best I could describe. I'll ask my brother, the computer genius of the house.)
Edit: Whoops! I guess I didn't look at the date! 2009!
