thank you very much! i apreaciate that.
i think the only problem with the 'election' is that it is not an election. there is not gonna only be one who we must elect, there will be multiple who volenteer and have good reputations, are nice, go on scratch a lot, ect ect.
Yes. I do understand that. This is UNOFFICIAL. Its just so that the scratchR team can see what our polls say. (And that we can do this on our own. )

I'd like to do what I can to keep the TBG forum running in one way or another. I'm an English teacher & Scratch Club sponsor with several years experience facilitating on-line discussions. But even though I'm the same age as the original Pong (yes, literally), I love the irreverent creativity of the TBGs. After all, "The opposite of war isn't peace-- it's creation." (who can name that Broadway reference?)
I'm an extremely active member of the Scratch community, having had two galleries and two projects featured on the start page. I also initiated the discussion of Critique Groups which has bee viewed over 25,000 times, and I recently launched the Catalyst Academy as a way to share my ideas about Scratch, animation, and game design.
I'd be happy to serve as a moderator/coordinator/administrator for a reincarnated version of the TBG forum. Just let me know how I can help.

Or... you could say "Almost as long as Scratch has existed".
Where is The-Whiz on the ballet?

You should probably set a deadline for candidates and wait until then to create the selectricity quickvote.

Yes. Thats a good idea. I'm going to tell everyone that the line for running is closed. It has been and I should have put that up. I'm sorry. But I'd like a little info on the actual official elections please.

That is what I was thinking when I created the second quickvote...

There is no such thing as an official election. I was hoping the community would organize on their own to come up with rules and a structure to select the group of people that are willing to moderate the TBG forums. If things don't get organized well, the Scratch Team would decide not create the new forum.

I think you're missing a couple of people in the selectricity survey. You might want to review the different forum threads and have a comprehensive list. Once you have the list you might want to publish it somewhere to get feedback from others and then have a period of time to gather the votes. You know, like a real election

I'm just not sure if this 'voting' thing is so umm...such a good idea. Because many people just vote based on friends, and their projects and many people won't neccecarily vote because of how they act on the forums. I think some key points are
Maturity - doesn't fool around, yet has a nice sence of humor - this can be helpful, so they know what language is right or not, and they have experience in real-life situations
Mildly good scratcher - not as good as archmage, but they understand how it works, and they've made some 'advanced' projects.
Good grammer - This is more important than it sounds. Better grammer can make you sound more well, important and informal, rather than making lots of typos and things. Also it can make it harder for other scratchers to understand you. Just look at me hehe.
Experience - I think this is important, because people with more experience in the scratch community, know what the community is like, and everything. People like my and archmage, and most of the current moderators, not neccecarily cheddargirl, have experience, and generally know the community better.
Just my opinions.

I am J0j2, and I have been scratching for about 2 years now. I would really love to be a moderator because I spend lots of time on scratch, check the forums daily and I'm alright at the program itself. I would be overjoyed to become a moderator, because I love the forums.
some more reasons: I get along well with other scratchers, I am intouch with lots of things that go on in scratch, I went to scratch day (I don't really think that counts though.).
2 years? You registered in August 2008. 2 months and 1 year. Silly boy

Also, look at MyRedNeptune's List of people running! You need to really look. Just going based on what the people said on the first 2 days isn't neccecarily the best.

Triple posting?Maybe you could have saved time by editing your first post.
